AP exams are scored on a scale from 1 to 5:
- 5 - Extremely well qualified
- 4 - Well qualified
- 3 - Qualified
- 2 - Possibly qualified
- 1 - No recommendation
Each AP exam consists of multiple-choice questions and free-response questions. The College Board uses a weighted combination of these scores to determine the final AP score.
